Donten ni Warau

There is almost no season, where we don't find one-two anime with historical basic, although recently these are mainly centered around Nobunaga. With this line break up the Donten ni Warau, which plays in the Meiji-era's fourteenth year (1878), in that time, when samurai - because of the ban of the government - slowly started to dissapear from that society . Because there were many people,  to whom the sudden and large westernization didn't appeal, huge amount of crime started. The government hadn't got other choice, but open a prison, from escaping is impossible. Its main reason was that the new institution could only be approached in water and three boys of the Kumo family got the task to transfer the criminals into their "new home". In the adaption we can follow, what tasks does the job gave them, over and above what secrets are incubating in the background. In addition all this spiced with supernatural power and much bishi.

Karakara Kemuri experimented with several genres, than he ended up at shoujo style works, but he used the historical basics firstly only in his manga which started at 2011. In the situation of the adaptation the most of the stuff were could-say starter, because they either try out themselves on a new area, or they were contributed by only a few anime case. As producer with the Eureka Seven's cinema version debutating Haraguchi Hiroshi for example this is his second bigger job, but the quality result is garanteed by the long-historied Dougakoubou studio (11eyes, Natsuyuki Randevous).
