The most pleasnt surprise of the winter season is for nowadays faded Madhouse Studio's production, the psychological drama, called Death Parade. The conception of the anime appeared in 2013, on the Young Animator Training Project (shortly: Anime Mirai). This is one program, operating with the support of the japanese government, which helps developing the home and also to the starter animators. The forefather of the series was completed here as a 25-minute short film, called Death Billiards. The sory ia a magical character drama, where the dead souls are compete. Because before we would send them into the forever darkness or to rebirth, a special group exmine their personality, and judge them. It takes place in the Quindecim bar, where a bizarre barman invitates the souls to the game. During the game, when the opponents gathering points, they could live through terrible body pains, while they are evoking the most significant moments in their lives. At this time can we see their real personality, and if they lived their life as a bad or a good person. The game could be anything from billiard to darts, the to be judged souls firstly can be deceitfully innocent, but at the end an unpleasnt incident always turns out about them. In its thematically and episodical story it is similar to the "Hell Girl" (Jigoku Shoujo) and to the Mononoke animes, despite of its dark-themed opening this is the most funny performance of this year. Scenes matcing true ballroom dancing and cabaret are bewitch the searchful viewers. And what will be this story about? Hopefully it will be about confessing many crimes and the excitement of the character's diclosure. Its worth it to take a look for those who expects serious stories and nice animations.
